Privacy Policy

What we collect
- Account: when you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and a Google account ID. A signed, HTTP-only cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days.
- Conversation text: the text of what you say (after your browser converts speech to text) and the replies are sent to our servers and to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate responses. Conversation history and your saved words are stored in your own browser; we don’t keep transcripts on our servers.
- Billing and trial: payments are processed by Stripe. Your account (name, email, subscription status and how much of your free trial you’ve used) is kept as a customer record in Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
- Usage & analytics: only if you accept analytics, we use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage (pages viewed, features used). To enforce fair use we also count each account’s replies per day, in server memory only.
What we don’t collect
- We never receive or store audio of your voice. Speech recognition is performed by your browser (in Chrome and Edge by Google or Microsoft services, in Safari by Apple).
Processors
Google (sign-in, Analytics, web fonts), Stripe (payments and your customer record), Anthropic (AI responses), Microsoft (speech synthesis). Each processes data under its own privacy terms.
How long we keep it
Your Stripe customer record is kept while you have an account, and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Ask us and we’ll delete your account and everything else we’re able to delete.
Your rights and choices
You can decline analytics in the cookie banner, clear conversations with “Start over”, and cancel your subscription in Settings. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA) you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data: email us and we’ll reply within 30 days. We don’t sell your data.
