Is it Spain Spanish or Latin American Spanish?
Mateo speaks Mexican Spanish. Everything you practice is understood everywhere in the Spanish-speaking world, and he’ll explain any local slang if you ask.
I only know a few words of Spanish. Can I still talk to Mateo?
Yes. Choose Beginner and Mateo uses one or two short sentences at a time, speaks more slowly, and every sentence comes with an English caption. You can also answer in English while you build confidence.
Do I need to type?
No. Chit-Chat is hands-free: just talk. It hears when you finish speaking, and you can interrupt whoever you’re talking to, just like a real conversation. A text box is there if you prefer to type.
